Varadis is a spin-out company from Tyndall National Institute in Cork, Ireland; a leading European research centre in integrated ICT (Information and Communications Technology) hardware and systems.  Varadis is leveraging over 30 years of Tyndall technology development in the radiation monitoring space. 

As a result we are now building and selling the worlds’ most effective and dynamic radiation monitoring components, devices and systems to some of the globes most recognised organisations.

The Varadis RADFET is a microelectronic chip, specially engineered to be sensitive to high energy (ionising) radiation.   The RADFETs are small, robust, require no power to detect radiation, can easily be integrated into electronic systems, and are cost effective.

Varadis RADFETS are today circling the world at 17,000 mph in the International Space Station and 220 miles below on Earth (and a further 100 metres underground) at CERN, measuring radiation levels created by particles travelling at 300,000 kilometres per second around the Large Hadron Collider.

Six Lead SOT-23 Plastic Package

Our VT01 RADFET is a discrete p-channel MOSFET optimized for radiation sensitivity. The VT01 is plastic packaged and smaller than the ceramic VT02 and it is a great cost-efficient option for high volume orders.

Eight Lead Ceramic Side Braze Package

Like the VT01, our VT02 RADFET is a p-channel MOSFET optimized for radiation sensitivity. The VT02 is a hermetically sealed ceramic package and slightly larger than the plastic version. Please contact us for more details.

Six Lead SOT-23 Plastic Package

Our VT03 RADFET is a discrete p-channel MOSFET that addresses a lower dose range than VT01 and VT02. The VT03 is plastic packaged and smaller than the ceramic packaged VT04 providing a more cost-efficient option.

Eight Lead Ceramic Side Braze Package

Our VT04 RADFET is a discrete p-channel MOSFET optimized for radiation sensitivity. The VT04 addresses lower dose ranges than VT01 and VT02. The VT04 is a hermetically sealed ceramic package and slightly larger than the plastic version VT03.

Like VT05 our VT06 RADFET is a p-channel MOSFET optimized for radiation sensitivity in higher dose ranges than VT01 and VT02. The VT06 is a hermetically sealed ceramic package and slightly larger than the plastic equivalent serial number VT05.
